Hi, I’m Bridget Ryan. For almost 25 years, I have lived on a small farm here in Erin with my family. I own and operate a small business and am an engaged community volunteer. I believe in fairness, transparency, and a triple bottom line (Profit, People, Planet).
Community-building and Volunteer Involvement:
• Erin Agricultural Society/Erin Fair (RCMP Musical Ride, Equine Tent, Horse Heritage)
• Erin Farmers’ Market Committee Member and past vendor
• Credit Valley Conservation (land and water stewardship)
• Everdale Organic Farm (former director)
• Common Ground (Soil Health Coalition)
• SJB Elementary School and Erin District High School (outdoor garden, parent council)
• Headwaters Tourism/Horse Country & Town of Erin (stable tours, special events)
Business Experience:
As a small business owner for over 30 years, I understand the tenacity it takes to successfully manage a business. My career has included corporate marketing, local food events, contract work for the Alton Mill, and Small Business Advisor for the Guelph Business Center (GWBEC).
Currently, my business (Equine Erin) includes horse-based programs, Facilitated Equine Experiential Learning, outdoor education, writing services and community events.
Thank you for putting your trust in me and electing me as your Councillor for Town of Erin.
